Description | Sentinel Frigates already count as having "sniper shots," in that they can't target things that are immune to snipers (like siege starships), but counter sniper turrets do not affect them. Having 29 sentinel frigates show up in a wave of 500 ships comparatively problematic for defense, so having a small zone where you can weather the rest of the wave (with proper planning) until you can break guys free to deal with the frigates, without getting trashed by the frigates (80k damage per shot, 3 second reload, 29 ships...) would be pretty nice. | ||||

They are indeed subject to counter-sniper turrets, as is anything that counts as a sniper-level shot. If you have a save that can duplicate this, please post it, but most likely what you were experiencing was the brief delay between when a ship is near a counter-sniper turret and when it actually gets protection from that counter-sniper turret. |

False alarm! Sorry about that, I was wondering why the Sentinels kept taking out all my sniper turrets on my border planet because I was positive I had a countersniper turret there, but apparently I don't. I tested, and countersnipers do in fact work against sentinels. |
