DescriptionImo, these are much too cheap in relation to their combat abilities

imo they need to cost at least as much as a light starship (they have more Hp, higher DPS and loads of tractors for a start).

also, imo, they should not have any armour piercing (they currently have 750 @ MK I) given they already have a very respectable shipcap DPS (24,500, 12,250 per ship) as well as the mobile tractor utility. as is, they are perfectly effective as a straight combat ship vs heavy armoured units like bombers without considering their abilities)

also, given its power, its tiny shipcap, and the thematic high energy consumption of tractor beams, imo energy usage should be 5000+, not 50 :p

The energy use of 50 was a bug (that's just the default mkI value), I'll change that to the same as the spire stealth battleship. Thanks for noticing that :)

As for m+c, building mkI tractor platforms to cap costs somewhat more than twice than building mkI fighters to cap (80,000 vs 36,000) and about half of building mkI bombers or missile frigates (around 156,000) so it's not way out there.

The dps at cap is already pretty low (61k vs non-bonus, 122k vs bonus which is light and ultra-light) compared to the triangle and other bonus types (fighters have about 58k vs non-bonus, 140k vs bonus, and bonus against more things, iirc), taking off the armor piercing would actually drop the likely average dps below that of fighters (which was in turn dropped a fair bit during the rebalance).

Anyway, the idea is for it to be roughly triangle-ish (a bit worse) in straight-up dps, and the tractors count for the bonus-types-better-than-triangle.

firepower is worth more when concentrated into a single ship, esp a ship with a powerful ability like tractor beams. I defo maintain they are overpowered as is (by my usual criteria of 'do I really dislike fighting them in the AIs hands?' the AI does use them in much larger numbers than the player can, but all the same clever use of them and the ease of repairing them makes them v. cost efficent
