Summary | 0002262: CTRLS: Disable scout auto-evade when scout is a member of a military fleet
Description | Sometimes I like to bring scouts along with my attack force (scout starships, mostly). So, right when I warp in my bajillion military ships, the scouts always make a run for the edge of the planet. They're almost always safer (and more useful, if they have tachyon emitters) if they stay with the rest of the fleet. The easiest way I see to implement this is to check to see if the scout is a member of a ctrl+hotkey group that also contains at least one military ship. If so, then do not auto-evade.

Hmm, are there any other control nodes that have group assignment related condition to them? If not, they will have to stick that in somehow, which may take some time. However, with how much they seem to encourage using scout-starships as anti-sniper support, this addition would really help them "put their money where their mouth is" (or something like that). EDIT: Wow, not even 24 hours before someone else gives more reason to support my earlier "suggestion" (0002259) |
