| Description | An empty shell, much like a Riot Starship, which you can build modular turrets on top of it. These could range from booster turrets to repair turrets, attack turrets to tractor beams and some forcefield designs to protect modules itself and maybe a bigger type of Riot shield type to protect some of the turrets without making them suffer from "firing through a forcefield". Their base texture/graphic could be of those Fortresses. I don't know if anyone uses fortresses, but since they cannot move through wormholes, making those stationary and "renaming" them as Orbital Defense Stations could be good. | ||||

This seems to be the exact idea of a modular fortress which has been suggested and resuggested many times, just another name. It probably will get the same response. Regardless of the name, I still support it. =D |

Mine is stationary :) And repairable (maybe not if it can repair). Add a couple of thrusters, and it's basically the same as modular fortresses though, you're right. Although, my idea is, when we play (I usually play with a friend), I focus on turrets, scouting and grand strategy while my friend focuses on strategy, resource managament and such. I also suggested Booster Turrets, and these stationary "fortresses" would also serve well in my opinion. |
