Description | As a response to the increasing threat of bombers the ship designers came up with an energy disperser system that scatters the energy contained in energy bombs and waves, greatly reducing their effectiveness. Unfortunately the device is pretty clunky and power hungry in its current design so the ship carrying it will not be able to contribute much to the battle otherwise. A low cap (25/normal) fleet ship that acts like a deflector drone except it affects energy bombs and waves. It is very fragile but cannot be hurt by those energy weapons so pure bomber attacks won't be very effective when these ships are present. If they hide inside forcefields they should be attacked with forcefield immune units. Recently more and more things have become vulnerable only to bombers, these ships would make sure players and the AI cannot just send in pure bomber waves while keeping everything else out until the fortresses and stuff are dead. The AI could possibly have an experimental starship version of it that would be a REAL pain to deal with. Probably should be vulnerable to fighters. | ||||
