Description | So you've gone through and rebuilt a golem, spent all that money, and now it's going to slowly drain away health over the next three hours unless you constantly repair it (and dump a ridiculous amount of money into it). If golems only attritioned when active, it would allow for golems to be kept in reserve until needed, an the actual attrition could be made so that it's less of a general annoyance and more of a serious consideration of "is it really worth it to use my golem right now?" pushing players into less of a "might as well just throw my golem at everything because it's going to attrition anyway" and giving them more difficult decisions about when to use golems, not just if they're going to use golems. | ||||

* A new special ability, "Self Attrition Only When Not Low-Power," is now applied to most units with self-attrition (the spirecraft scouts and jumpships, and the AI special forces guard posts, being the exceptions). This ability makes it so that things like golems, Neinzul Younglings, etc, can be put into low-power mode whenever they are not actually attacking. |
