Description | I've had several problems with the spire maws not eating any ships that are within range. I've taken a screen shot of my 5 maws not doing anything to a large group of frigates. They just sit there and shoot their bullets at them and never eat a single ship. I tried it with my maws under the field or out of the field and even with my tractors off. I tried moving the maws around a lot and they seem to eat one or two ships, but I've no idea why that happened since I an unable to make it happen all the time. Also to note if you see the status of current player ships that have been consumed by AI maws you'll that I have one ship that is at 83%, which is a scout. There are is a bug with scouts being eaten and not dying fast enough. | ||||

Are you or is anyone still seeing this? I think we fixed some stuff with maw ranges a bit ago that might have fixed this. If you have a savegame that demonstrates, that's what we need for fixing it -- screenshots just help prove the issue, but we tend to believe you when you tell us. ;) We just need a way to duplicate it so that we can actually test it, isolate the problem, and then verify the fix. |

Submitted saved game with the problem. Same thing happens, they don't eat any extra frigates no matter what is going on. |

Thanks! I definitely saw it in your case, but it was something that was specific to your scenario, really -- that's why others had not reported it. Anyway, fixed it up now. * Previously, when maws of the same team were too close together, they would block each other so that only one could eat enemy ships at a time. Fixed. Also increased their range by 1000. ** All ships that have zero move speed are now explicitly immune to being swallowed, to be more clear. |
