Summary0000213: Catapult
Descriptionthe catapult would fire a non homing projectile towards its target (an asteroid for example) so if the ship was moved it could avoid the projectile but if it was stationary it would be hit. the projectile could carry on going after hitting the first ship. in a seance it works like a catapult in any other rts in that it cant hit moving targets but is devastating to structures and stationary ships.

In the hands of the AI it would force the player to keep moving his/her ships to avoid them being destroyed, it would also discourage group moving large groups of slow moving ships (even if the ship the catapult was targeting does not get hit one of the ships further back in the group will).
It could also stop approaching a gaurdpost directly in a straight line be unfavourable as the barrage of catapult projectiles would tare through the force forcing a weaving path to your target to be more favourable.
