Summary0001943: Spire Maws do not obey ship caps
DescriptionSo I was playing a game with Spire Maws. I have mkI unlocked so there's a shipcap of 5 of them. At the start of the game I was able to build 5 maws, no problem. However, 40 minutes in, I *definitely* only had two maws under my control, yet the unit cap claimed that I had 5 of them and wouldn't let me build any more. The AI had maws, but I haven't been on any of its planets for 10 or 15 minutes - I'm about 100% sure that the AI didn't have one of my maws in one if its maws.

When I go back to load the game, I can build more again, so it's kind of tough to give you guys a save where I can reproduce this.

I'm thinking this has something to do with the fact that spire maws can eat each other. (What happens if a spire maw has eaten a spire maw that ate another spire maw?)

I am seriously, seriously tempted to implement some "Bag of Holding"-esque logic for that case.

But maws should simply be immune to being swallowed.

Try using the unit finder. I know I had that problem with units that got eaten.

There are a couple of things going on here, some reported previously by another player, but the new part that you've found is the maws-in-maws thing, heh. For the next version:

* Ships that can swallow or transport other ships are now unable to be swallowed.
