Summary | 0001932: Defensive Tachyon Sweep
Description | Not sure if this should be a new unit, or implemented some other way, but some way to do a tachyon sweep (at a high cost) on a planet with a human command station would be nice. For those cases when there's a cloaked AI ship somewhere on the planet and you just can't find it with conventional means, and don't want to blow up a tachyon missile. I'd say the cost would be about two or three times as high as a tachyon missile.

Counter proposal: * Add a context menu for Tachyon drones/Decloakers to patrol - this causes it to move around randomly within the local starsystem, which should detect anything within range of the center planet. Although Tachyon drones would need to be buffed for them to be useful in that regard. |
Well, there is a way you can do this "sweep": build a MkIII Military command station. It has infinite tachyon range. Of course, that's rather expensive, but it works ;) |
And also rather hard to do on a home planet :) |
In that case you're stuck with the mkI tachyon warhead :) |
