Description | Currently, if you do reasonably on a floor, there will be lots of health items scattered around. Every time you get injured, it is optimal to go back through the level, vacuuming up all the health items. This is unfun and tedious. It also breaks the game's tension curve and means that getting injured is often not an issue at all after you clear the room. My suggestion is that instead of sitting around for you to pick up forever, health items despawn upon leaving the room. The reasonably high rate of health drops the game has will still mean that you will be able to pull yourself back to a reasonable amount of HP within a few rooms, but it won't be immediate and it won't be by retracing the floor on a regular basis. If it wouldn't be too confusing, you could even have health pickups just auto-apply and not drop the items at all. If you do do this, it may be a good idea to give a full-heal on entering the boss room and it could really suck to get injured badly on the room before the boss and have to go into the boss fight at low health. | ||||
