Summary | 0001823: Have a default control option
Description | It would be nice to be able to set up a default control set-up, so I don't need to set engineers to auto-FRD mode every game. Having an option so set your current options as the new default is the best I can come up with atm.

Very much in favor of this. The Galaxy-wide controls should be saveable such that they persist between games. Gets annoying having to set the same dozen controls every time. Related: Allow the auto-build-engineers sliders to be set for engineers that aren't unlocked yet, and just have it not apply until they are. Annoying to keep going to set the galaxy controls at the start of the game and not being able to set that because I haven't gone to my labs and unlocked Mark II Engineers first. |

For 5.003: * Courtesy of the current 0000001 on the mantis vote tallies: Added "Copy To Disk" and "Copy From Disk" buttons to bottom of the controls screen. ** Copy To File creates a copy of your global controls (excluding per-planet stuff, but including ship designs) as "copiedGlobalControlSet.dat" in your RuntimeData directory. ** Copy From File prompts you to confirm first, and if you confirm it overwrites all your global control (excluding per-planet stuff, but including ship designs) from what's in "copiedGlobalControlSet.dat" in your RuntimeData directory. If you don't actually have such a file it doesn't do anything when you confirm. There's obviously other things that could be asked for (being able to specify the filename to save or load, saving/loading a particular planet's per-planet settings to/from a specified filename, specifying a filename that gets loaded automatically when starting a new game, etc) but those would have taken more time than I had available and it's typically best to start with the core of the request and move from there. |

Awesome. Good enough for now, I think. |
