Description | From: http://www.arcengames.com/forums/index.php/topic,2611.0.html Scrapyards are economic structures that in opposed to the instant self-destruction sequence, provide the player with a far greater return for ships sent to be scrapped. The ships must be sent to this structure in order to be recycled. Long construction time, and significant cost (not energy) to construct one of these structures discourages players from redeploying them quickly instead of sending ships to the structure. While the technology is not perfect in recycling all material from the ship, it refunds up to 80% [etc.] of the normal unit price, but instead of instant gratification, takes time for it to begin streaming the collected resources to the player--therefore, it must be hosted on a safe planet because upon destruction, the resources are lost. A limited amount of ships can be recycled at a given time (cooldown per X ships). Can be made a capturable. | ||||
