Description | Noted this on the forums, haven't seen a report on it yet so here's one. Wave intel seems to 'lie' sometimes about enemy wave composition. In this savegame, I have destroyed a Mk III counter-attack post, and the resultant wave intel reports: 22,856 AI 1 Frigates, 1 Starship (III)to Quhas Neverminding the ridiculous wave ship count, instead of Mk III Frigates, the wave spawns Mk III Bombers. This has a rather... significant impact on how to handle the wave, especially when its attacking a system adjacent to your Home Station as it is in this save. :) | ||||

Counter-attacks are often mixed, I guess the wave warning shouldn't specify a ship type. |

Good luck, just completed a 2 player co-op game yesterday. 10k and above waves is the new normal for counterattack guard post. Just fortify one system like mad (Plantery armor inhibitor, Force field 3, maxed spider turrents, missle turrets, MLRS) and hit the guard post, hoping that it will end up "near" your fortified system. Otherwise, reload and hit it again. 26k waves seem to be way too excessive though. Even at 10k, we were having trouble clearing them fast enough before a warp wave came in. |

Ok, yea, it actually has about 6 different types from what I could tell from debugging it, it was just erroneously reporting the majority type's name instead of "Enemy Ships" as it's supposed to for mixed waves. Should be fixed for 4.042 :) |
