Description | What. http://www.deadlyshoe.com/aiwar/wtfwave.jpg Pocket WTF.sav is after, Pocket II.save is before. It's the work of a Core Raid Engine. (Which is stacked with a Core CPA post. Fun!) So theyre all Mk IV, naturally. P.S. When I firsted loaded post patch my 2000 bomber wave converted into a 7000 bomber wave which is kind of a pain in the balls. I had to use several Martyrs on it (2 on the initial wave and 2 for each carrier that kept going) but 3000 of them still disappeared into enemy territory. Does the algorithm really scale like that? I only have 294 AIP. Kinda crazy. | ||||

Apparently there were some wave scaling issues that were being hidden by wave ship caps. Now that these caps are gone, we now get to see the latent wave scaling issues rear their ugly head ;) |

Seven. Hundred. Thousand. MkIV. Zenith. Electric. Bombers. My suggestion is to interrupt the supply of power to your computer ;) I'm guessing it's a big pile of wave multipliers stuck on top of each other. But we'll take a look and see what's going on Pocket II is the one before the wave announcement, right? |

Pocket II is beforehand yes. All that changed was that the assault fleet in Shomikle attacked Nicha, the core world next tot he Core Raid Engine. The only active multiplier should have been the Regenerator Golem. |

Might I recommend two nukes? :p (i think carriers arent immune to nukes at least..) nothing else is gonna kill that fleet >.> |

4.041 has reduced the wave to 230k, probably from the removal of the regenerator multiplier. |

I loaded Pocket II and ran the game til roughly 9:07:59 and I see a wave warning of 3,137 Z Chameleons and 3 starships in 2 minutes. I've put in a fix to get it to not lie about ship type and I'm going to see if it actually works by seeing what comes out. But that sounds like not the wave you were referring to? |

It came from triggering the Core Raid Engine. |

Ok, thanks, sorry for not noticing the core-raid-engine aspect of your earlier posts ;) I put a fix in for 4.042 that should at least help. |

Ok, I've been through both the main thread and the AI thread sides of the wave size computations with a fine-tooth comb and found a few other things and added some logging tools y'all can use to at least see the math of why you just died ;D |
