Description | This question is solved by a FAQ, but I think with the new expansion, it is time to reevaluate.I searched for this suggestion, and I cannot find it in mantis. It's certainly not a unique suggestion, and it has been requested many times. Problems solved: 1. There are currently so many classes of ships that it is becoming hard to memorize what each sprite stands for on the new game screen. 2. People have their favorite ships, and they are going to choose them anyways. The current system just makes them click more often to get it. 3. Number two is harder to do with multiplayer. It's also harder to do as you add more expansions. 4. You could add an option to get a random ship, if you want to simulate getting dealt a random hand. You could also randomize the AI modifiers or plots. This would simulate the truly unlucky general. 5. There are so many modifiers currently that the hand you get dealt is not completely random anyways; this adds flexibility and fun factor. A possible implementation could be a drop-down menu when you click a ship icon on the galaxy map. | ||||
