Description | I'm sure this was requested sometime before (none that I have seen, though, but it's obvious), but I myself would like to see that the homeworld FF be buffed. 9 million HP is nothing, and simply disappears upon any damage received. Sure, players could stack more forcefields over their command station/city structures and use the "power down and repair" trick to infinitely postpone under imminent threat, but I would prefer that the home FF hold its own, at least for a greater duration in comparison to what it offers currently. Anywhere between 18-56 million HP would be appropriate; and I understand that this would encourage homeworld turtling to a certain degree, but it's not like a player wouldn't recognize defeat if it truly was inevitable. I just want something that can buffer the damage until I can actually react, instead of having to do intensive macro/micro of the forcefields (especially with the "don't assist powered-down units" mode for engineers). | ||||

It's only meant to hold off cursory early attacks, which is what it does. You need to put some more FFs there, or take enough bordering systems so that you're not being directly attacked. |

losing it is crippling though, as replacement FF are much much smaller and cannot cover all the cryogenics.. you end needing 2-3. |

That's true, but if you have one or two other forcefields over it, it will get pushed to the brink of death but not actually over, usually. |

Can you move the Cryos closer to the home comm so that a single standard FF will cover them and the home station? |
