Summary | 0001463: Spire Wave ships ignore engine damage
Description | picked this up from orzelek not sure the version # Keith engine damage is not that useful for defense against spire waves. Smaller ships simply fly with 0% engines because that fleets seem to be using the hybrids logic. So you need to first de-engine one of larger ships... and have to guess which one of them is the fleet lead. Only after it dies others actually notice their engine damage. This makes riots pretty uneffective at stopping that attacks. Especially that they will target anything from the wave (same with spiders) - there is no info or targeting preference for the lead ship. http://www.arcengames.com/forums/index.php/topic,7651.msg64113.html#msg64113

Added version number and thanks for creating the report. |

For 4.039: ** Previously event-attack battlegroups using the ship-coordination logic (same as the Hybrids use) were effectively immune to engine damage except for the "lead" ship (and the player is not told and should not need to know which ship is the lead ship). Fixed so that engine-damaged "underlings" can have an effective speed below coordinator.EffectiveMoveSpeed+5 (which is their normal speed while coordinated). |
