Summary | 0001370: No name visible for units in build menu on mouse over
Description | In the build menu, when the cursor is over a build item (in the attached screen shot it's over the gravity well thingy) all the information about the item is being displayed EXCEPT for the items name. I haven't played since 3.0, but I'm pretty sure the name was displayed then. This is surprisingly annoying since I can't identify to teammates what it is I'm going to build. Maybe it only happens on my machine but it happens in the latest beta build and happened in the builds before that and happens in the other menus as well (menus where things should have names)

Are you playing with the black player color? |
|
It's not black. I started a new game and chose the color red and could read the build menu just fine, to verify that it works at all. Then I started a new game and picked black and could again read it just fine. Looking at it again, I would guess that I don't actually *have* a color as my asteroids I'm building on are silver like they are empty. This game was the first game I created since upgrading to 4.X, and I had to monkey with my settings, specifically licensing, while I was on the "setup" screen. Maybe that caused some weirdness. Either way, it doesn't appear that I can recreate the problem. I'll attach a save so you can check it out for yourself if you like. |

Ah, the "no color" would indeed do that. In a more recent version, it was updated to fix it so that you could no longer have "no color" as an option. But that wouldn't fix existing saves. I believe you can adjust that under Manage Players, though, to fix your existing save. Sounds like this one is handled, then! |
