Summary | 0001219: Riot Control Starships cause AI issues with taking ships out of low power mode
Description | It took me a while to pin down while this was happening, but something about Riot Control Starships causes AI ships (particularly bombers) to never leave low-power mode when attacking. My guess it has to do with the forcefield. The issue is somewhat masked because a tazer blast, being AOE, hits everything nearby which knocks ships out of low power mode. But, sending simply Mk I RCS to an enemy world showed the problem. The included save has an example located in the Orimeco system, north of the HW. (while i'm at it, are Laser modules really supposed to have such drastically lower damage potential than machineguns? Their only advantage appears to be range and potential to bring engines to lower %.)
