Summary0001149: Balance: increase energy costs of tractor turrets
DescriptionTractor turrets at MK I cost 150 energy for 50 ships tractored.

To set up sufficent tractors to stop 1500 ships at a wormhole (mad bomber at less than 100 aip sends around a thousand ships, so enough to prevent these waves with 500 capacity as backup) costs just 4500 energy.

A single MK I power station costs -2/-2 to run and virtually supports this. given that at game start players get 500/500 resource income, this is nothing. tractor turrets were also previous major consumers of energy.. their cheapness is probably one of the factors behind players having so much more spare energy than they used to (and so even more income).

imo the energy cost of these should be put right up, if not at the 3.0 values then at some middle ground that still taxes players. atm there is no reason to unlock MK II+ tractors; MK I are perfectly cheap to run.

Mk1 Tractor Beams cost 300 energy for 30 tractored targets. I have no idea where you got those numbers.

Remember that this numbers depend on chosen ship caps for the game.

I'm not sure where you see this needs to be changed. Even if you stacked all of your turrets on one wormhole, you should be having multiple theaters of war (meaning more turrets needed). I never have enough at Mark one. Turrets in general have been really underpowered up until a day or so ago when they got some health increases.

But let's say that you did increase the power numbers. How would that balance things for the better? You would be able to build less mobile military in favor of a static defense. This trade-off is really not good. I would not want one single type of turret to be affecting my military capacity so severely, especially one that does no damage.
