Summary0001145: Fatal Error in gc
DescriptionWas playing AI war, as the host of a 2 person LAN game, and about 4 or so hours in, it crashed with this code on the top of the error code box, and said Too Many Heap Errors. I have no idea what that means, but I'm sure you do. I will see if I can find a way to reproduce it. As of right now we are going 10 minutes back in time to the last auto-save.

Game didn't crash again, but we only played 2 more hours.

What os are you on? This error message happens when you run out of memory for the game. How much memory do you have, and do you have any idea how much the game was using?

I didn't get the chance to look at how much memory was being used as after it crashed, anything i switched to went back to a black screen. The OS I was using to host was Window 7, 64 bit Home Premium. The computer has 6 gigs of ram. I plan on playing a bit today, so if we can get it to crash again, I'll be sure to let you know how much memory it was using at crash time.

I'm just marking out-of-memory reports as resolved unless I can actually get a reproducible case or it's happening a ton to some particular person, etc. We certainly want to work on reducing memory consumption (and I'm hyper-concientious to not increase the heap persistent-footprint or frequent-transient-alloc when writing new stuff), but it's much more an ongoing effort rather than an issue to be tracked here.
