Description | Preferably with a ticking noise :-) The mechanic would work like this: --- You can build ticking time bombs anyplace on a planet that you have supply. The bomb would have a customizable timer. When the timer expires, it explodes for a variable damage, possibly more power with more investment in building or more time. The area of effect would decrease its power the farther the target is from the epicenter. Balancing would be needed on the area of effect and how much damage. The fun factor would be trying to guide the enemy ships or time it just right so that the enemy is in a ticking time bomb explosion. This would encourage skillful use, along with really low caps on them. Friendly fire for the bomb could be useful but I wonder if that would just encourage griefing. It may also be tough to balance for scheduled waves. You could have ticking time bombs that do damage, emp, or perhaps buffs/debuffs. Lots of ways you could tweak this, but it seems like a really easy candy structure that wouldn't take too much time to implement and has a skill fun factor. Balancing it would be the hardest part. | ||||

The issue I see with this one is: 1) You see a wave coming in 3 minutes. 2) You place these bombs on the wormholes with a 3 min 2 second timer (to allow for all units to exit the wormhole). 3) No more wave. |

I already acknowledged this in my post. The trick here is to think of ways that this mechanic could work.. Such as, what if it worked only on planets that you did not have a command station on? |

Out of scope for now, but possible for later. Possibly good for the community dlc poll suggestions. |
