DescriptionThis occurred during Multiplayer and the error in the Arcen Debug Log happened to show the same thing like 20+ times, but after leaving and coming back, it seems to have solved itself. Will continue to play to test if it throws up again.

If you can provide a save and steps to reproduce I can track it down; basically there's just a loca string with more formatting targets (the "{0}", "{1}", etc) than parameters being passed into the format call. It shouldn't hurt gameplay, just needs to be fixed.

Well when I reloaded the game and went through the same area and others in single player. there was no issue.So it might just be multiplayer if no-one else is noticing it.

Also, a noteworthy correlation between the error's occurrence is the fact that a chest does not work. I think a lot of the time it had the error, I was near or on a chest and it did not open.


If you want, you could just leave it for now and fix it when you fix other parts of multiplayer like the fact homing spells does not work for it currently.

0.724: Me and LayZboy have discovered that:

- The error is thrown from a chest.

- When it does not work, the UI goes invisible completely. (http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/613882773169761943/5BC6D362402546362D03272D2C3CA990BFCC252D/)

- Pressing pause seemed to allow the other person to be able to see what the chest was/pick it up (HERE: http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/613882773169766783/D4C3799E90F8B89B3E6D7448D3ABB45EF6552026/)

- It is not EVERY chest, only some.

- On occasions, I could not pick up the chest, but LayZboy could).

- There seems to be no consistency in when it occurs, so a save file would be helpless since I reloaded and it worked at some point.

- A minimum of TWO players must be in the chunk at once or else the chests work fine.


I will be sure to post more information if I can find any.

Ok, getting closer, but I just tried to reproduce it with 2 clients and a server and it worked fine. Probably what you said about not all chests causing the problem. Can you put up a save containing a chest that does cause the problem?

This one didn't work for LayZboy a lot.

- Even when he walked in first, as soon as I got in, he could not work it.

- I entered game before him in the chunk...he could not pick it up.

- We never closed server down and brought it back up again during this, so you accessing it might lead to results which make it work.

- If in doubt, restart server, try again, restart server, try again! XD

Ok, that's not actually the full world; it just has the world map basically. It creates chunks for me to enter so I was able to test entering a region with both characters (on two separate clients) and finding a chest. But it looked fine for both of them and opened just fine for the one that I tried with.

It would really help if you could:
1) Find a chest that throws the error when you walk in front of it (not open it; or does it only throw the error when you try to actually interact with the chest?)
2) Do Not Open It :)
3) Stop the server
4) Zip up the entire world folder, and post it here (if it's too large, keep a zipped copy and let me know and I'll figure out some way for you to get it to me)

* Fixed a crash bug in multiplayer where the game would not properly show the "You May Not Take This Because You Already Have Equipment And Another Player Is Here Who Does Not Have Equipment" message.
