Description | I would like to use a new script command called ActivateSwitch(TileNumber) that causes a switch (and its resulting effects) to be enabled. Though I have ideas for other uses, my current example has Lela throwing the switch for Pierce so he can cross the river, after the squid makes its entrance. She is already scripted to walk to the switch, and more script causes the bridge to raise, but it's not directly linked to the switch itself. This means the player can walk over and hit the switch for real, which has no additional impact but belatedly mirrors/lights up the switch's appearance. Other ideas include having townsfolk hit a switch on your behalf, when one is otherwise unreachable, and having evil forces (visible or invisible!) change the terrain after a set amount of time. (This is not the same issue as http://www.arcengames.com/mantisbt/view.php?id=10199 which asks for a condition to test whether a switch has become active.) | ||||
