Description | The current controls for keyboard users are unwieldy but generally considered necessary to make the 8-way aim possible that is the basis for some tactical depth. I suggest mouse support that locks the firing direction in one of the eight fixed directions relative to player location. That way aiming is intuitive and fast-paced but not as easy as it was in the first part. As an added suggestion a display for the direction currently selected might be helpful: instead of a cursor, in my imagination an eight-pronged star around the playerimage highlighting the currently selected direction. Would require the cursor position to be locked relative to player location, not background. | ||||

I've suggested it before in an email so I'm supporting it here too. Understandably 360 mouse control would be overpowered but I would like to move with WASD and use the mouse to shoot and have its aim locked in the 8 directions. I actually find my self only playing classes with an arc secondary to avoid needing to aim as much due to the current controls. |
