Description | Now that Hybrids are working again, their spawn rate needs a tweak downwards. First game, one AI with Advanced Hybrids, second AI with hybrids off. 2 warp points leaving home system, 7 minutes into the game I had a total of 76 hybrids one warp away from my home system. Second game, one AI with normal hybrids (Advanced Hybrids off), second AI with hybrids off. Playing with no Fog of war. 30 seconds in: First wave of hybrids spawn at the Mk IV systems, looks like 10 hybrid spawners in this game. (80 planet map) 50 seconds in: Second wave spawns, there are now 20 hybrids total. 00:01:16 Third wave spawns, first wave is starting to head towards me. 00:01:29 First hybrids reach one hop from my home system 00:01:45 Fourth wave spawns, now 40 hybrids in the game. 00:02:00 I already have 6 hybrids adjacent to my home system, split between all adjacent planets. 00:02:07 Fifth wave spawns. 00:02:31 Sixth wave spawns. 60 hybrids total in game. Skip forward to 00:05:00. I now have 45 hybrids adjacent to my homeworld, split between all adjacent planets. Holding steady at 60 hybrids total. Skip to 00:10:00. Still holding steady at 60 hybrids total in the galaxy, however they are all adjacent to my homeworld. At only 10 minutes in, this is pretty much a brick wall I'm not getting through. So, hybrid spawn rates need a look, or they need more missions that don't park every hybrid in the galaxy directly adjacent to my planet. | ||||

Just to see, I went ahead and started a 3rd game with Advanced Hybrids enabled on both AI's. This resulted in 17 spawn points and Hybrids capping at 109 hybrids galaxy wide, following roughly the same spawn rate as in the first post. Oddly enough, in this 3rd game, none of the hybrids have left their spawn systems by the 00:10:00 gametime mark. All 3 games were with Diff 8 AI's and all game options the same. |

I'll 2nd that about 10 min into a game 7.3 ai's, 1 ai with hybrids, I had more than 25 camped over the comstation adjacent to my home planet. |

Apparently this is a casualty of all the new economic changes; we'll investigate, thanks! |

issue seems to stem someplace around the fact that a hybrid spawner requires 0000720:0001500 bp to spawn hybrid. And they get that bloody fast it seems as well.. (of potentially similar note: zeinzul cockroach spawners on core worlds are maxed out on bp way before the 30min mark in my game) |

I clocked the spawners to one Hybrid per spawner every 23-24 seconds or so. |

Wow. Yea, I forget the exact value, but it's supposed to take 20 to 30 _minutes_ per spawn. Chris, I'm guessing this is related to the timing changes? |

Version 3.708 Freshly started game, both AIs with Hybrids on, full visibility. First Hybrid spawns 1:15 into the game, and the rest keep coming at 1:15 intervals. Still a tad too fast, I'd say. |

As of 3.711, the Hybrids are definately back to more sensible levels. |
