Summary | 0000039: Hostile Neinzul Under Friendly FF Damage FF.
Description | http://www.arcengames.com/forums/index.php/topic,7184.0.html Its not like a screenshot would really help, but if an enemy Neinzul unit gets under a friendly FF gen (somehow) then it gets the benefit of the FF: that is, your units will damage your own FF. Same thing happens if you have FF Bearers (which do not push units). This may be only Preservation Warden units, I am not sure. Nudging the FF gen at all forces all the enemy units back outside its radius. I only noticed it when I popped a couple transports next to my home station that was under attack by some Neinzul (who were doing very little to the FF, but there were enough that I needed my army) and then went off to manage something else and got an alert that my home was under attack. I was all "wtf?" and went back to find both FF's at 20% as two to four Neinzul had slipped under the FF's and weren't getting hit and were shooting at my now-unprotected home station. I mopped up pretty fast though. It reminded me of another time when a roaming enclave had been flying under my ally's FF Bearers so he couldn't hit it. (Just to confirm that this was also previously mentioned in another topic by Fruden that devours also exhibit the same behavior under FFs.)

Ok, this certainly sounds like ff logic isn't checking minor-factions right, but that only makes sense for the enemy-to-all minor factions; I just confirmed that _all_ units with "preservation" in the title are MinorFactionStance.AIAlly , which means they get an AI's player number and are thus treated as enemies by default. Can anyone post a save of this happening? Preferably with the preservation wardens being responsible, but the roaming enclaves (non-friendly) or other non-ally minor factions will do too :) |

If someone can provide a save with a reproducible case of this issue, feel free to re-open this :) |
