Summary | 0003465: Note to self: method for breaking up edges of surfaces via shader with clipping texture.
Description | Basically, just use this but with my various modifications (custom no-lighting, and other things): http://www.unifycommunity.com/wiki/index.php?title=Dissolve_With_Texture Since surf is a per-pixel method, it seems like that ought to be able to skip the clip method and just use the alpha from the custom method. Optionally, I could also set it up to add or subtract the rgb from the slice guide, so that I can use very dark grayscale to do things like make ridges and such. Sounds like a good job for drawing with the tablet! This is something I've been trying to figure out how to do for ages... glad to finally be having a better handle on shaders these days!
