DescriptionIn games like civilization, you can move beyond your turn radius and it tells you they will get there in some amount turns. Right now I have to gradually move through each movement circle one at a time and every turn.

Good lord, that would be awful. No, that's not how you move a longer distance.

Just move whatever distance you want, and it costs extra mental energy but no extra AP. It's "sprinting."

There are some cases where it does not let you do this, and you have to sprint to next to the thing and then do the thing. I should probably change that so you can sprint directly to the thing.

I can think of a couple of cases I can improve with that, but I'm curious in a wider sense what is preventing you from seeing the general sprint.

Here's an example of a technician with three AP, I cannot move it to the firefight across the city unless I manually move it from circle to circle. Maybe he's not allowed, as it says mental energy? He has legs.

He can't move there because it's a restricted area and he's not in combat stance. I was wandering into firefights by accident a lot, before that feature. If there is another unit in the restricted area already, and that unit is not hidden/allowed there, then you can move into it with that other unit despite any mode.

I should probably make this way more clear in the red tooltip about the POI, come to think of it. That is definitely confusing.

Do you have any other cases that are not to restricted POIs? You were right there's a confusing thing there, in that case, but it wasn't the one you thought. If you got to the location, he would still be blocked at the last.

Why is it a restricted area? My home spire was under attack and got slaughtered in that zone. Here's a prior save where the whole thing went sideways. If you go to the map, you can see the firefight is happening in the that zone, but you can't bring your android to it.

With this save:
Technician M17 is allowed to go.
Technician 24MM is not allowed to go.
They are all in "active" stance. I don't recall the stance discussion as I probably accidentally closed that tooltip.

You are specifically trying to move to stand on a building that is restricted. It's a high tech factory. If you stood on it, they'd shoot you. If you stand on a building near it, then all good.

* The game now has new mid-importance handbook entries about Mental Energy Vs AP, and how to use that; and then about Sprinting, and how that relates to both of the above.

* When you are trying to move a unit to a restricted area they lack clearance for, it now clearly states that this is why they cannot move there in the tooltip by your mouse cursor.
** It also has more detailed information about what this is and how to handle it if you hold shift.
** The very first time you encounter this, after the initial combat at least, it also has a mid-visibility handbook entry that unlocks, but does not block your view.
