DescriptionI've been using Auto-success to steal tungsten from military bases without any repercussions. I'm not sure if that just too much cheese. Is it?

I'm not sure what you mean by auto-success. Do you mean bees or spiders?

In general, tungsten is not super valuable, which is why it's not guarded more. It's a minor inconvenience to get it.

I mean the route:
* Convince them you are on official business.
* Fail -
* Spend All Mental Energy to auto-suceed (requires 8 mental energy).
* Result: Success

Huh. The message also refers to it showing up with only 7 Mental Energy, but I didn't see it with 7. I think that's a typo.

Ohhhh, I see.

So there are a few things with this. First of all, your random roll has to have been within 80% of the target. So if you have low odds, then this may not even be an option. I... think. I may need to check on this.

And yeah, secondly this requires 7 Mental Energy, supposedly.

To be honest, I never see this or use it because my energy is never that high by the time I'm doing a thing. I am thinking that this mechanic could just go; I don't think it adds anything strategic or tactical to the game.

* The overdrive mechanic (auto-win a skill check in exchange for some mental energy) has been removed.
** To be honest, I forgot that was in there at all, and the way it worked was really counter to the way the game flows now.
** It was specifically only coming in when you failed even a partial success, and rewarded a certain kind of high-mental-energy-hoarding style of play.
** It was really unbalanced, and did not add anything of worth.

I like the idea behind the mechanic and even extending it. So something like: convert 1 mental energy to a post-roll +10% success (max 3 energy).
