Summary | 0002424: Partial Dampening Ignore
Description | Another stat to counter radar dampening partially. Especially for long-range units, dampening ignore related to their range possibly. Not entirely eliminating/ignoring radar dampening in short. Basicly: Actual Radar Dampening = Unit Radar Dampening - Attacker Dampening Ignore Basic Example: Planes have 3000 Radar Dampening range. That means, nearly nothing can attack them if both are stationary. Even fortresses. Fortresses, some turrets, and other mid&long range units like Zenith Bombard, etc... would benefit from this

This would really defeat the purpose of radar dampening, and would get too complex too fast. It's been suggested before. |
|
How was armor & armor ignore working before then? Zenith bombards for example, a ship having 33k range, due to their 15k retreat range and lets say a plane's radar dampening range, cannot shot a single bomb. Or, because my ships have greater range than their radar dampening range, I can take any ship, even fortress MKIII without getting a single shot... |
|
More to the point: your bombards are smacking the heck out of everything else while staying out of range of the fortress, while your bombers do their work up close. |
