Summary0009904: [AS] Make "Large" Enemy Starbases invulnerable until all smaller starbases are destroyed
DescriptionI'm finding that especially in multiple champion games the enemy starbases are falling far too quickly, rather than stat-boosting I thought giving them invulnerability (much like AI HW command stations and their guard posts) may be a suitable solution?

I honestly am not sure what this solves - In most cases, if you can destroy the large one, you could have easily destroyed the small ones first.

If other cases ,later in the game, it becomes fairly difficult to actually engage the large ones anyway, making it a nonissue (even with more ideal ship designs)

I'm not finding the difficulty in taking them down at any stage, and this was a knee-jerk suggestion to try to make things harder (well, challenging at least!).

At the moment the only 2 scenarios that I have lost are Ravenous Shadow (solo champ only) and prison break (though that one more from my stupidity rather than the mission being hard). Like the FS progression I'd love the champion-related ending be something that's hard to achieve (and not lways doable), rather than just a different way of doing things

I actually agree that starbases fall far too fast with multi-champion games, and that includes the final mission. I just don't feel that this is the way to go - it seems too... Railroad-y. To me, the problem is more that starbases don't scale up enough with multiple champs- I don't care what I've fitted to my champions, 3 of them killing a small starbase in 2-4 volleys is ridiculous, and this doesn’t address that. (Battleship nebula took 6 minutes, and the small starbases had to go first, for a change.)

Lance - yes I have, still think the Ravenous Shadow and Prison Break nebula are the only challenging ones

Not liking the idea of invincibility, the large SBs are already massive threats to the champion at lower levels and at the point where you can take them head on the whole nebula is just a formality anyway. The only scenario I can see this affecting is the three-way where your allies have another small SB behind their large one that the enemies don't attack until the large SB is already gone. You won't get your allies to attack the large SB before all the small ones are gone anyway.

Will this actually do anything other than make the player spend more time on the 2v2 and 3v2 scenarios?
