Summary | 0004751: Some use for distant resource deposits
Description | Currently, resource deposits (Granite, Cedar) are only useful within 3 spaces of a settlement. When lots of deposits are seeded at between 4-6 spaces from your settlement, it is frustrating. There should be some way to get use from these. Some possible solutions: * Have there be a mechanism to upgrade a settlement's "mining range". * Allow the player to manually harvest a resource deposit for a small amount of resources every turn by going there in person. * Allow the player to manually destroy a resource deposit, for a one-time large amount of that resource. * Allow the creation of "mining post" mini-settlements on the strategy map. You mentioned in issue 0004695 that you had some sort of plan for this. Just reporting so that the idea doesn't get forgotten :)

This has been reported several times, and some of the in-game tooltips already say that the 3-tile range thing is just for now. Yes, I know :) Just have other priorities right now (Multiplayer). |
