Summary | 0004706: Make some items lost on death
Description | Quartz is pretty much everywhere, and it takes very little quartz to make one snow suit that I will then never lose no matter how much I die. It seems like some items (like the snow suit) could be a 'lose on death' item just to keep all of the crafting recipes relevant for the entire game.

This is one of those things that I know I'd be getting daily bug reports about if I did -- when something mysteriously acts differently from everything else, players really start to get frustrated. I'd been thinking about having players drop their potions on death, for instance, but decided against it for the same reason. The real longer-term solution in terms of quartz is having more spells that actually use quartz. And outfitter crafting recipes, too. In terms of the snowsuit, it's possible that I might want to make the utility of the snowsuit go down as the civ level goes up, to make it so you need a replacement eventually. |
