| Description | So, I mentioned on the forums that when I loaded up the patch I found I was locked in a lil 2x3 box due to the pylons (for reference, on the attached map it is the square I'm on (settlement) one square on either side of me, and the 3 above). All the areas around me were quite high above my level save one, which had a commodity tower. I was hoping to gain a level clearing it out to hopefully free me from the 'prison'. Sadly that didn't give me enough XP.
Instead, I tried a different tack - I deleted one of the pylons I could see using the strategic action for it. Instead of reducing the vortex fields, this covered most of the map in them! I was like, WTF, tried to somehow move off the settlement I was on, when nothing worked I exited out to write this report (Dying respawned me at the settlement that was stuck in the 'prison').
I took a backup of the save (after having quit the game this time ;-)), see attached. Surprisngly enough, I went in to take note of the co-ordinates of where the pylon I removed was ( (2,13) I believe, if not exactly there then in that area) and found that the 'cover whole area in vortex' disappeared! Still in my little prison though. |
