Summary0004597: Potions are way too strong
DescriptionRight now, potions heal the same as they always have. That makes potions higher than a few tiers heal you completely, no matter what. It would be good if the potions were subject to the same reduction in power that spells are.

They are, or at least all my old potions\scrolls heal for 1 now

Edit: Obviously I'm refering to potions scaling the same way as spells

Not sure what to to do with this one yet -- they should be scaling down, indeed.

Josh, can you look at this and see what you can find in a test world?

One thing to note is that character health can vary by about 4k. So a potion that fully heals one character will not be remotely as good for another character. Potions don't do a percentage of heath, they do just a flat amount, so a low-health character gets over-healed by potions inherently.

My guess is that this may be working just fine, but you have a low-health character, but it's hard to say for sure.

The potions seem to be scaling just like spells.

A few examples

Tier III potion:
Lvl. 17 - 2400 healing
Lvl. 22 - 900
Lvl. 35 - 1

Tier VII Potion:
Lvl. 35 - 3000
Lvl. 40 - 1500
Lvl. 44 - 300

And they all did the exact amount of healing they purported to do.

Must've been something odd on my end. The potions I've seen are scaling as well (although I still think they're generally too strong, but that's another issue I suppose).

Let's wait for the balance to shake out a bit more, and then see what we think about general potion strength. If you've got a character with maximum health potential that's like 8000 health, and it will take 4 potions to heal fully. At the lowest level of health it still takes two potions, or should.
