| Description | Whenever I click the beta update button in game, it downloads the update, and closes AI War. The updater application runs, but the GUI never pops up. It sits and bounces in the dock for several minutes, after which it just sits there. If you click on it at any point, it will disappear. The update never gets installed. It does the same thing even if I try to run the updater directly. | ||||

Hmmm, that's unfortunate. Do you happen to know if AI War does the same thing, if you play AI War? It sounds like we may not be officially supporting Lion yet, at any rate -- to upgrade the updater will cost like fifteen hundred dollars in licensing to Bitrock, and I'm more inclined to wait and see if Apple fixes whatever it is they broke. |

This bug is for AI War. For the record, the updaters for A Valley Without Wind and Tidalis both work fine. And now that I think about it, I think I had this same problem with the AI War updater on Snow Leopard, but I can't be sure. I think that's why it's still on the 5.000 release. |

Oops, sorry, now I see. Are you on Steam? If so, that's a known issue -- Steam corrupted the OSX updater on 5.000. On the forums, there's a link where you can download a functioning replacement; and future updates on Steam will also include an updated updater for OSX. Sorry for the trouble there, but glad to hear that's not actually a Lion issue! |
