Summary0004411: Strange spinning light almost off screen
DescriptionIn one room in a building I was in has a strange spinning light almost off the screen. It's there even if I leave and come back. Screenshot attached. You can see it in the upper left hand corner.

That's the new shard drops. I've seen it a couple times now, as well. I think the drops are spawning far away from where the monsters died and are getting stuck outside the rooms.

Seen it here too. Seems to happen more with flying monsters, but that could just be because I kill them more.

Yeah, i get this too. and can entirely back up Baleyg's assertions, having just watched one spawn as i killed a bat

Yes, this seems to be because sometimes the consciousness shards spawn quite a bit above and maybe a bit to the left of the mob that died. Sometimes this can cause them to get stuck at the left edge of the screen. Doesn't happen consistently, though.

Someone suggested (somewhere on the forum, I think (how vague is that!)) that the shard drops be spawned in a spread around the dead thing - coupled with them being able to travel through walls, the end result should be pretty awesome.

* Attractive drops (right now just used for consciousness shards) are now able to pass through ground and floor/walls, to make their movement look smoother and nicer, and to prevent them from ever being stuck in walls, etc.
