Summary0004380: Paying off rampaging monster groups leaves the minibosses in the region.

Paying off monsters seems to leave the minibosses on the region tile.

In this specific case, where they are all 9 levels above my civ, and have a vengeful ghost there, it's getting pretty ridiculous.

Edit: The character is standing on top of the region tile in question in the included file.

Ok, I've determined that it's not that the tactical units are being dropped into the chunk on load, they've just been saved with that chunk (recent change, unintentional consequence). So if you just leave that particular chunk alone you'll not have to worry about them (they won't advance on the strategy map, etc). In the meantime we'll try to fix them to not save with the chunk :)

I know they stop advancing.

The issue is that other groups have advanced to the same spot by the time I get the warning on End Turn, rendering them utterly impossible to combat.

So far all three groups that spawned for that settlement moved to the same region tile bordering it.

Effectively, I had to pay off all of them, since the previous groups being present makes the fight utterly impossible. (I am civ level 15, the settlement is 24, I get level 24 rampaging monsters.) 11 level 24 microbosses + vengeful spirit is impossible, and with more joining the fray with every spawn that I don't attend to before it arrives at a square bordering the settlement? Erk.

Edit: Of course, I assume this won't happen if I just don't enter the square, but I made the mistake of entering the region to check if both groups are present, causing them to all be saved.

You can just not ever enter that region again :)

But like I said, we'll work on fixing it so they aren't saving with the chunk; they're not supposed to stick around after getting their demands.

Not entering the region again leads to the following problem:

Either, I have to check for a group advancing on the settlement from below after every turn, since if I don't, by the time I get the warning, the NEW group will be on THAT square, making fighting them impossible...

Or: I'm stuck with paying off monsters attacking the settlement until I am overlevelled enough to kill 8 level 24 amoebas + 3 level 24 lightning espers + 1 level 14 vengeful spirit.

* Fixed a bug where paid-off rampaging monsters would stick around the region they were in despite disappearing from the world map and strategy map.
