Summary | 0004265: Double check farm/organizer trait math
Description | (Doing this from memory, so some details may be off, but the jist is there) Second time through the city building -- first time I nuked my settlement by attracting 26 people to it and not realizing I needed to feed them :-) So this time I'm more careful. I build a farm, staff it. +60 wheat. Okay, read the fine print, expected based on the workers traits. Add another one -- +120 now. Now I'm positive enough to pull another NPC from a wind shelter. Look at the food.... (I think I saw bugs about not being able to determine how much somebody is eating filed already)... +450 (or so) New NPC has the organizer trait -- so I could see how that would boost production -- but not that much. That gave me enough food to pull every NPC I had access to, with room to spare. (I ran out of resources building houses, but that's a separate story :-) How is the citybuilding resource math supposed to work? Let me know if you need any more info from me.

When I test it, having an organiser in a warehouse just adds ten to each staffed buildings output. A normal person on my farm with 96 morale produces 192 food, and with an organiser 202. A green thumb with 96 morale produces 288, with organiser 298. |

"New NPC has the organizer trait -- so I could see how that would boost production -- but not that much. That gave me enough food to pull every NPC I had access to, with room to spare. (I ran out of resources building houses, but that's a separate story :-)" Just having the organizer trait doesn't do anything to production, that just lets you work a warehouse which provides a (pretty modest) boost to all production. Do you have a save of it when it's producing 450? |

I apologize, I'm going to close this because I can't get a clean repro, even going back through archived worlds. I'm seeing results closer to what Toll is reporting now. I'll reopen if I see this again and be more careful about capturing the world at various states when I do. |

Ok, thanks for letting us know when you thought there was something wrong; let us know if you see it again :) |

FYI -- Figured it out. The difference was due to morale of the workers. Building houses and/or wells is what made the difference. |
