Description | Just runs back and forth, making a cloud of smoke. Sometimes they sort of flash when they go past me, but I'm not taking any damage. Other monsters can still cause damage. Edit: updated title so it doesn't just refer to desert burrowers, since this seems to be more widespread | ||||

Ah. I can confirm this. Uploading a screenshot of a nice blue flash. EDIT: The dust devils themselves became a bit... wonky during the screenshots, but they look like normal all the time. |

This is happening to me, but with a bat boss. It's reproducible on loading the world. Let me know if uploading would be helpful. |

Hmm. Skelebots too, so it's starting to look like all melee attacks. Skelebot snipers still hit though. |

You can add rhinos to the list of things that don't hurt and lightning sprites to the list that does hurt. So yeah; melee doesn't hurt and magic will. Do I smell a shield spell coming in? :) |

Ah, I should have investigate further before posting. When I said 'other monsters' I was only referring to the other things floating around in the desert, namely the lightning sprites. That'll teach me to assume things. |

Icicle leapers still do damage. |

I can confirm. Since 0.505 patch I assume all enemy melee attacks do no damage. Skelebots, bats, and desert burrowers are the only melee enemies I've been able to get to so far, and all do no damage, ordinary, miniboss, boss, et cetera. |

Yep, I'm experiencing this too. Sadly, it led me to believe that my character had gained some sort of crazy invincibility. A miniboss was happy to set me straight on that. |

If its any help, the shadow bat mini-bosses still perform their 'hit player, then break-off and circle a bit' logic, even though they do no damage nor gain hp from the attack. |

Me too, bat bosses and dust guys. Weird. I thought it was related to my charcter being a robot. Guess not. Running verion 505 |

Thanks! * In the prior version there was a bug where on the giant skelebot melee attacks would do any damage to you (out of all the various monster melee attacks). Fixed. |

So if I'm reading that right, it implies that it was a bug that giant skelebots could do damage, and that has now been fixed, so that nothing does damage? I think the difficulty of the game is getting too low... |

The bug was that *only* the giant skelebots could do damage. The fix is to make everything else do damage as well. |

I would assume it should say "where only the giant skelebot melee attacks", meaning the bug that only they and no others could do damage was fixed. |

Ah, there's the pertinent typo. Thanks. I knew what it meant, of course, but I couldn't puzzle out which word was wrong that was giving it the alternative meaning. |
