| Description | I have yet to see a windshelter site with a Hearth (jade) Guardian Stone in it, this in my abnormally large world too. I've seen every other type of Guardian stone spawn in windshelters site but not a jade one. And now with the icons properly working, it's easy to see if a site has one or not (One's with a hearth guardian stone has is suppose to have a red heart, right?) Has anyone seen a windshelter site with a hearth guardian stone? Do I just have terrible RNG luck with these or are they not properly seeding? | ||||

Honestly, I'm not sure. Let's give this a bit more time and see if others have seen them. |

Ok, I just found one. It had the same icon as the icon in the original settlement region does. |

Yea, seeding with a hearth guardian is a totally different thing in the code than seeding with a non-hearth guardian. The green ones are the foundation of a settlement, basically. But if there's one where there's no settlement and it's drawing as a settlement on the world map, that would be a bug. |

These are meant to be very, very rare because eventually you'll be able to make them into new settlements. I can definitely attest that they are seeding, but you'll only see one for every few full screens of map tiles. |

Are the type of guardian stone that is present at a shelter site based on the type of region? Does it follow the same rules as the underground gems? If so, does this mean that hearth guardian stone will only spawn in certain regions that have jade as one of the types of gem? |

Yes, in every case EXCEPT hearth guardian stones (green). So all of the stuff with non-hearth guardians, which are more common and which eventually you'll probably be able to upgrade into outposts (sort of a between state between a wind shelter and a settlement), are indeed region-type-based matching the gem veins but with green yanked out. In terms of the literal hearth guardian seeding, that's a check that is region-type agnostic. |
