I'm not sure what you're suggesting but are you saying this thing would basically instakill everything (including Mark Vs) with a time delay? |

The only way this would really work is to make this golem a Swallower, an epic sized version of a Spire Maw. That's not exactly unprecedented given the existence of the Devourer Golem; in fact, it could probably be a prototype version of the current Devourer Golem that didn't work out quite so well. If it took the faster health decline of the Cursed Golem, but added in the Cursed Golem's vampirism (based on damage done on *swallowed* ships) it could be pretty interesting as an alternative to a golem you'd usually power down between battles. |

My powerful shield idea is dooomed, doooooooooomed if this golem is adopted :D
A giant Maw golem wouldn't be a terrible idea though. |

I don't think it's necessary. With the exception of the Black Widow Golem, the rest of the golems do high enough damage (or have alternate abilities relating to not ganking whole waves) that multiple shots really aren't necessary. So, unless the Maw golem vacuums up absolutely ginormous numbers of enemy ships very quickly, it will be strictly inferior to all other golems (except Black Widow). The fact that it would eventually hit nom-nom cap and need to retreat to digest would just function is a reverse hive golem, except the hive golem's 500 wasps can murder a couple thousand ships in one go. So, interesting: maybe. Effective? Not without being unbalanced in one direction or the other. Then again, golems are kind of meant to be unbalanced, sooo. If it can somehow suck up 50 to 100 ships in one shot, with a max capacity of 500, it could probably work. It would be less effective than a black widow in the sense that it can really only disable 500 ships at once, as opposed to the Black Widow's theoretically infinite capacity. It will be less effective than a hive golem as well damage-wise, but it will be able to be used more often than a hive golem, as a more defensive unit than the hive golem's typical "dump and run". |

It can be Maw golem with vampirism, my main idea with it, when it targets ship for death that ship will die. i dont really care how it dies but it will die in 10 sec. this ship would need AI that targets only strongest ships it can find within range and i think it would be good. i was thinking this golem needs to be Massive very large in size so it able to consume other star ships (at higher cost of transport) or even another golem at cost of 500 transport, just mean your goelm is useless because you have to wait roughly 800 sec for enemy golem to die. and you cant deal any damage. it only deals damage to transported units inside or very little damage to external units |
