I think that scout starships are immune to speed boosting, perhaps? |
|
|
well, that would be an issue, except that scout starships have a base speed of 200 something.. |
|
|
Yeah, either way that's not right. |

I had a similar issue with Spire shard + zenith spacetime manipulators a while back (a few patches ago) where I discovered that shield bearers were useless for protecting the shard unless I micro-ed them to stay on it, since they kept pulling ahead of it (selected both groups and group moved to my home planet initially). I then scrapped the zenith-stm on the whole path (gaining a increase in AIP ofc) and rebuilt them afterwards. (I dont think you could put them in low power mode, cant remember.)
I think the solution here would be to make it so that group move changes occur after all other changes, not before any of them at all. |

Yeah, the spire shard is specifically immune to movespeed altering effects, so that should cause issues
I believe scouts/scout starships are as well, like x4000 said, which appears to be causing weird issues. If the speed buffing/slowing was merely a max speed modifier, and things coordinated by max speed it should bypass this all.. If I am indeed remembering correctly how those mechanics interact. |

i think this is along the same lines:
when doing group move on a planet with speed boosting of some sort (in this case the zenith thingies), it isnt taking into account the adjusted speed. EX i have a group with a transport in it, which dosnt get affect by the zenith thingies, when i group move (which is auto for me), the transport still moves at the slowest base max speed, instead of its regular speed (slowest being the constructors). |

All spire ships decide to move at their own speed and get left behind. |
