Summary0003395: Spire fleet ships and forcefields
DescriptionSpire fleet ships don't move close enough to forcefields to damage them. They move within range to hit them as if the field is at full HP but do not advance on it to do more damage, and just fire shots that are not doing any damage.
This usually does not come up much because targeting a guard post under a shield or a shield post itself requires getting in range of the radar dampening.

Also, I don't know if I should make another report for this... when spire fleet ships are moving, and their beam only does damage for the first tick or so, even if it moves such that it shows it hitting another ship. It works fine if they are sitting still and enemy ships move out of the way (or die).

In my games golems/FS-ships attack them fine when I target them. When I set them to FRD near it they end up out of range to hit it and effectivly create a stalemate-situation(without some human intervention).

It also only happens with spireshields, not regular AI-FFs.

I can confirm this bug, I have been hit by it before. (Though in my case, it was with Spirecraft Implosion Artillery)

Do you have auto-kiting on?

There might be a bug with it that causes some ships to accidentally move too far and stay out of firing range.
