Summary | 0003278: Keyboard diagram to track unassigned shortcut keys
Description | I wanted to change a keyboard shortcut just now, and I realized that there are so many shortcuts that I'm not sure which keys are free to be reassigned. It would make it a lot easier to customize your controls if you could look at a diagram of the keyboard while you were on the controls menu. I imagine it would show green for free keys, yellow for assigned keys, and red for keys that have two contradictory assignments, and then if you hovered the mouse over the image of a key it would tell you exactly what it was assigned to do. The color code might be hard to implement for Alt + key and such things, but even being able to hover would make it easier. This is sure as heck not urgent, but it would be a convenient thing to have.

You could create something like this with say excell, even share it on the forum. That would save the devs some time ;) Lots of games already do something like this but as they generally provide it as hard copy or soft copy in the form you cant properly edit it becomes fairly useless after the first time you change some keybinds :) |

for the alt + key combos, you could have the keyboard layout coloring change when holding those modifier keys |
