Summary0026124: macrophage spores detroying spawns upon spawn
Descriptionso when my tamed macrophages generate spores they are destroying existing spores preventing the telium spawning mechanic. i think this is a ship cleanup effect that is preventing them from exceeding ship caps but preventing them from functioning as intended. this is not generating system errors. i have had shadbolt spawn spores at least 3 times and tavika at least once but the spores all shift to new spawner and the old ones are just gone.

as a note my minimap doesnt have my shadbolt telium that i captured on it for some reason

I believe what you are seeing is a coincidence with another Macrophage feature, Spore Lifetimes. Spores last for 1200 seconds before despawning. When testing your save, I couldn't find any cases of new spores despawning old ones. I'll see if I can make this obvious in game in some manner.

For your comment; curiously I'm seeing the Shadbolt Telium just fine. Did you have a map display mode on perhaps that hid it?

that spore life timer seems to short since the spawn rate is 30% every 17 minutes ish.....

Is there a better number of seconds desired? 1200 seconds is 20 minutes.

they are so slow that to travel 4 system in search of a partner which seems reasonable takes 25 minutes, as they travel randomly i would recomend doubling their life span. as it is they get about 2 systems out backtrack and die before getting anywhere. even with 4 spawning each time on 3 adjacent systems they cant reach an empty system together in 3 hour of play because they dont have any synchronization or direction. phaps an alternate is to trigger a spawning season where they all trigger spores simultaneously?

* The lifespan of macrophage spores has been doubled from 20 minutes to 40 minutes to give them appropriate time to wander around and fully make trouble in long games.
