Summary0025278: Spire flagships able to hack ARS
DescriptionAttached save isn't exactly perfect for this since I'm way too tired to test this and see if it's consistently reproducible, but this issue's been brought up by a number of people on discord at this point. I have seen this occur twice now, both times by accident when the flagship in question was on the same planet as the fleet that was meant to do the hack. Notes: from the second time at least, the phantasmal frigate started at mk1 (same as the hacking spire fleet's mark level) despite my exotic tech being at 2, and only teched up to two when the associated spire city was leveled up. The game still respects the normal spire fleet limitations against swapping members in this instance, so the ARS line is stuck there.

I also attached a screenshot of the fleet in question's tooltip with the "Fleets levels from science (unexpected)" bit, as I've only seen this in association with this bugged fleet. This appears to be a strictly cosmetic thing, though, as the affected spire fleet has only the mark level you'd expect from the associated city progression.

Also to note this save has been loaded on the 3.202 patch, but the actual ARS hack that produced this result was performed on 3.104. I went ahead and posted this anyway since I didn't see this bug mentioned in patch notes.

I've noticed this too. For whatever reason, they're behaving like normal flagships now. Also, I think when you have one hack for a cruiser, it changes into a dreadnought. Unless I'm missing something.

I think it's good that Spire flagships can hack, as they can look for things in the Spire campaigns ... back being able to hack ARS does seem odd.

In my current game, I accidentally hacked an ARS using a Spire flagship, and I found I can't move those new ships to a normal flagship using swapping.
