I thought that was on purpose to split the turrets among more technologies. Otherwise Fusion has zero turret.

I always believed the other reason was that they have a bonus against hull below a certain health. Getting a damage bonus at % health is a fusion thing too, so that made sense.

It may have been, long ago when they were originally set up in the initial Fleets update.

Currently the reason I haven't changed it is because Splash already has 3 Turrets. If I was to put it in there, I think I would possibly move Beam Cannons into Fusion instead. In my mind, "splash damage" doesn't tend to include piercing beams, and is more for explosions. I've always had a bit of doubt about how much sense that makes in general to others, though.

if there's no issues raised by anyone, I'll swap it about.

Fusion's thing is "anti forcefield and anti structure", right? Maybe plasma turrets should be fusion.

...oh, but then all plasma weapons would have to be fusion and that doesn't really work either. Sorry. I'm tired.

My two cents: Fusion doesn't need a turret because station-keeping assault frigates are a thing and fusion is considered strong as is.

...I'm not sure I trust my judgment here though.

Do MRLS weapons actually do splash damage? If not, they really shouldn't be Splash type.
